Art Of The Bag

I would have to say I am slightly obsessed with man bags and luggage altogether. Think pieces from British and Italian luxury houses best known for their leather goods Burberry, Berluti and Bottega Veneta, and the classic American master craftsmanship and luxury of Lotuff and Coach -most notably the Bleecker Leather Bag Collection from the latter. Just stellar. Bags designed for men tend to be equal parts aesthetically and functionally appealing, simple and luxurious, qualities I find often lacking in most women’s handbag designs. Surprisingly true, even when it comes to perennially iconic labels like Burberry and Coach. Twenty-first century enigma. Man bags rule!

Coach, Bleecker Legacy Leather Weekend Bag in Fawn, from the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, Handsome legacy piece, crafted in hand-burnished rich glove-tanned leather for a heritage look, with hand-tacked stress points. Made with the simple construction of an archival Coach design. Understated and traditional. Equal parts rugged and refined. Perhaps my favorite bag of all time! Sublime perfection.
